The Best B2B SaaS SEO Agencies to Work Alongside an In-House Team
B2B SaaS SEO agencies that support an in-house content team or SEO manager, checked on their own sites in October 2026. Consulting, fractional and done-with-you models, with prices.

Plenty of SaaS companies already have a content lead, a few writers or an SEO manager. What they want from an agency is senior strategy, extra hands on specific work or a partner who plugs into the team they already built. The agencies on this list say on their own sites that they work that way, through consulting, fractional leadership or done-with-you programs.
I run Flying Cat, so I compete with every agency on this list. I checked each agency below on its own website in October 2026 for the model it offers in-house teams, how it splits the work, named clients and published prices. If you are still deciding whether to hire at all, read our guide to SEO in-house vs outsourcing first.
How to pick an agency that works with your team
Decide which work stays in-house
Write down who on your team writes, edits, publishes and reports today. Then ask each agency to map its services against that list. A strong agency proposes a split that uses your team's strengths and fills the weak spots, such as technical SEO, off-site placements or AI visibility tracking.
Ask what the agency hands over each month
Consulting models deliver strategy, briefs and technical specs that your team executes. Done-with-you models add some production. Ask for a sample month of deliverables so you can see exactly what lands on your team's desk.
Ask how they work inside your tools
Ask whether the agency joins your Slack, works in your project tool and publishes in your CMS. An agency that works inside your systems leaves the knowledge with your team when the contract ends.
Ask who your SEO manager will work with
An in-house SEO manager needs a senior peer on the agency side. Ask for the name of the strategist on your account, how often you will speak and how many other accounts that person carries.

1. Flying Cat
Best for: B2B SaaS teams with a content lead or SEO manager who want a founder setting strategy and filling the specialist work their team lacks.
Flying Cat is the founder-led boutique I run from Los Angeles. I lead strategy on every account, and freelance specialists who know each client's vertical handle content, technical SEO and placements. We work closely with your team if you want that, or run more independently if your team is stretched. Every program starts with a Strategy Launch, so your team sees the forecast and the plan before any production.
Clients pick from three models.
- Advisory: I set the strategy, write briefs and review your team's work, and your team executes.
- Done-with-you: your team keeps the work it does well, and we take on the rest, such as technical SEO, decision-stage pages, AI visibility tracking and off-site placements.
- Full-service: we run the whole program and report to your team.
For Leapsome, a non-branded click became 2.3x more likely to turn into a sales-accepted opportunity. For D2L, visibility in AI answers grew from 12% to 33%.
Pricing: $5,000 Strategy Launch over 3 to 5 weeks. Advisory from $2,000/month, done-with-you programs from $4,000/month and full-service from $7,000/month.

It delivers technical specs for your developers and content briefs for your writers, joins your Slack and project tools, and tracks AI visibility weekly. It can also direct an existing content agency or guide an in-house SEO person.
If your team falls behind, the brief volume can drop, for example from eight briefs a month to four. Semrush says on the site that Optimist works smoothly with its in-house team. For Glide, Optimist reports 14x leads from SEO in 12 months.

What these models cost
These prices come from each agency's own site in October 2026. The tables list only agencies that publish prices.
| Agency | Consulting or fractional | Done-with-you or full-service |
|---|---|---|
| Flying Cat | Advisory from $2,000/month | Done-with-you from $4,000/month, full-service from $7,000/month |
| Optimist | From $3,000/month | Consulting only |
| Spicy Margarita | $5,999/month | From $10,499/month |
| Omniscient Digital | Full-service only | From $120,000/year |
Consulting models cost less because your team does the writing and publishing. Budget for your team's time too, since a consulting retainer only works when someone in-house executes the briefs.
FAQ
Should an in-house SEO manager hire an agency?
An agency helps when your SEO manager needs specialist skills the team lacks, such as technical audits, off-site placements or AI visibility tracking, or more production capacity than one person can manage. A consulting or done-with-you model keeps your manager in charge of the roadmap.
What is a done-with-you SEO model?
In a done-with-you model, the agency and your team split the work. The agency usually owns strategy and the specialist work, while your team keeps the work it does well, such as writing about your product or publishing in your CMS.
What does fractional SEO mean?
Fractional SEO gives you a senior SEO lead for part of the month, at a fraction of a full-time salary. The fractional lead sets strategy, briefs the team and reports results.
