8 Best B2B Content Marketing Agencies for Strategy and Execution

Compare 8 B2B content marketing agencies checked on their own sites, with a comparison table, published pricing and the checks I run before hiring one.

B2B Content Marketing Agencies That Simply “Get It”

A B2B content marketing agency now writes for two readers. One is the buyer who searches Google. The other is the AI assistant that buyer asks for a shortlist. G2 surveyed 1,076 B2B software buyers in March 2026. In that survey, 51% said they start software research in an AI chatbot more often than in Google, up from 29% a year earlier (G2). The same survey found that 69% picked a different vendor than planned because a chatbot recommended it.

I see this in our client work. At D2L, a higher education deal closed in 11 days. Before the first call, the provost had asked ChatGPT how Brightspace compared with the incumbent platform. That answer reached the senior leadership team.

This list covers agencies that own content strategy and produce the content too. Every agency on it was checked on its own website in October 2026. If you only need writers to execute a plan you already have, our list of content creation agencies is a better fit.

How I vet a B2B content marketing agency

I have run content programs for B2B SaaS companies for more than 15 years, first in Spain and now from Los Angeles. I have also replaced agencies for clients and inherited their work. I run these checks before I would recommend any partner, including my own.

They choose topics by conversion rate

Ask the agency for the conversion rate of its best and worst pages for a current client. A good partner knows these numbers by heart. At an enterprise procurement platform we work with, one decision-stage page converted at 17%. High-traffic educational pages converted at 0.24%. That difference decided where the content budget went. An agency that plans topics from search volume alone will fill your blog with pages that never produce a demo request.

They report pipeline actions you can reproduce

Ask for a sample monthly report. Check that it leads with signups, demo requests or sales-accepted opportunities, defined the way your team defines them. Check also that you could rebuild each number in your own CRM. At Leapsome, the team pulled first-touch attribution data showing which pages had sourced opportunities and customers since 2023. Templates, playbooks and software comparison pages led that list, so they led the plan.

They track AI visibility across a fixed prompt set

Ask which tool they use, how many prompts they track and how often each prompt runs. Ask also which AI assistants they cover. AI ranking positions swing from one answer to the next, so a single screenshot of ChatGPT proves nothing. We track visibility as the share of answers that recommend the client across an agreed prompt set. D2L went from 12% to 33% of tracked AI answers in nine months on that measure.

Their writers know your category

Ask who will write your content and request a sample from your vertical. Then ask how they get input from your in-house experts. Generic writers produce generic pages. AI assistants have no reason to cite a page that repeats what every competitor says. Our process for sourcing expert sources shows what to expect from a partner.

They refresh what you already have

Ask how many existing pages they update each month and how they pick them. D2L's program refreshed 10 to 15 pages a month, since AI assistants favor recently updated pages. Traffic to the pages in that refresh program doubled from March to May 2026. An agency that only quotes new articles is selling volume.

They write natively for each market

If you sell outside the US, ask who writes each language. At an ecommerce marketing platform we work with, translated versions of English pages ranked in the mid-20s in France. Native writers rebuilt the French content around local search habits. The client tripled its top-3 rankings in France within six months.

They earn mentions in the sources AI assistants cite

Ask how the agency chooses off-site placements. AI assistants build shortlists from third-party roundups, review sites and industry publications. D2L's outreach moved from general link building to the roundups that appear as sources in AI answers. A content partner should show you which pages AI assistants cite for your prompts and how it plans to get you onto them.

You know who leads strategy in month six

Ask who will run your strategy calls six months in. Many agencies sell with senior people and staff accounts with junior ones. Ask for that person's name. Ask also how many other accounts they lead.

I review the plan they work from. Clients get a senior strategist on every decision without paying for layers of account management.

We run content, SEO and AI search as one program. The goal is for your brand to rank in Google and get recommended in ChatGPT, Perplexity, Gemini, Claude and Google's AI Overviews and AI Mode. How much a B2B content marketing agency costs

Four of the eight agencies on this list do not publish prices. The figures below come only from the agencies' own websites in October 2026.

Agency Published price What the price covers
Flying Cat $5,000 Strategy Launch, then advisory from $2,000/month, programs from $4,000/month, full service from $7,000/month Strategy led by the founder, with content from $950 per article or page
Draft.dev From $9,000/month, three-month minimum Technical content program for developer audiences
Mint Studios Typically $5,000 to $20,000/month Fintech content, tracking and reporting
Omniscient Digital From $120,000/year Full-service organic program

Four things drive the price of any quote you receive.

  • Strategy depth: A partner that audits your content, interviews your sales team and builds a forecast costs more than one that takes a topic list.
  • Volume and refreshes: New articles and refreshes of existing pages both take writer and editor time.
  • Languages: Native writing in each market costs more than translation. It also ranks better.
  • Off-site work: Placements on the roundups AI assistants cite carry publisher fees on top of agency time.

Compare quotes against the cost of building the team yourself. Our comparison of agency vs in-house content teams breaks down the hiring math.

FAQ

What does a B2B content marketing agency do?

A B2B content marketing agency plans and produces content that brings in qualified buyers for a business-to-business company. The work covers audience and keyword research, content strategy, writing and editing, refreshes of existing pages, distribution and reporting. In 2026 it also covers getting the brand recommended in AI assistants such as ChatGPT, Perplexity and Gemini.

How much does a B2B content marketing agency cost?

Published prices on this list range from $2,000 a month for advisory to $120,000 a year for full service. Flying Cat's content starts at $950 per article or page. Expect a higher monthly fee if the agency owns strategy, writes in several languages or runs off-site placements.

How long does B2B content marketing take to show results?

Bottom-funnel pages can produce demo requests within a few months. AI visibility often starts to move within 60 days. Mixmax grew blog-assisted demo requests 500% in ten months. Operto grew ARR 400% in 12 months. Plan for at least two quarters before you judge a program.

Should I hire a content marketing agency or a content creation agency?

Hire a content marketing agency when you need someone to decide what to publish and to answer for pipeline results. Hire a content creation agency when your team already owns the strategy and needs production capacity.

If you want a partner that owns the strategy and answers for demo requests, book a call. I will review your content and show you which pages I would build or refresh first.
